About REEL ART Video Productions

Reel Art Photo and Video Productions was first formed in 1995. It began life as a joint partnership between Queenstowners Michelle Buckham and Ross Grieve; both also photographers and videographers with local company AJ Hackett Bungy. While Reel Art quickly became a successful part-time business, within two years fate was to intervene: a Welsh lass named Rachel stole Ross' heart, and he chased her back to Wales to marry her. Together Ross and Rachel soon established ReelArt.co.uk, and Ross now has many Welsh and international photographic awards to his name.

Michelle, meanwhile, also took the opportunity to further her photographic skills overseas - in her case literally - working for several years as a photographer and photo lab manager on cruise-ships around the world. Upon her homecoming, Michelle returned to her first love of video; in 2004 re-establishing the New Zealand business as Reel Art Video Productions.

Michelle is Principal Videographer of Reel Art Video Productions and Senior Editor for all wedding and event work.  Shooting on a Canon XL1S and editing on a Mac suite using Apple’s award-winning Final Cut software, Michelle enjoys shooting and editing weddings “because I’m a hopeless romantic, to be honest, and I love being involved in the whole process of telling a couple’s wedding story”.

Brent Clements is Senior Videographer/Weddings for Reel Art Video Productions, with four years’ experience shooting weddings and events in the Wakatipu area.  With an introductory Certificate in Film and Television Production from SIT, Brent also enjoys editing on his iMac Intel computer, as well as taking his cameras with him on his frequent forays into 4WD off-roading and motorcycle touring.

In addition to Michelle and Brent,  a small enthusiastic team of trainees and assistant videographers/editors have also helped to ensure that Reel Art Video Productions has fast re-established its reputation for professional integrity and consistent and high-quality work.
